A summer’s trip to the Inishkea Islands, Mayo.

A Caribbean coloured sea on the West Coast of Ireland, a deserted whaling station and a community forced to leave in 1932. Nesting Oyster Catchers and a Rock Pipet, all fairly indifferent to human presence. Note the remains of a large and small Neoloithic Fort, both built by hand.
